Oh they tell me there is a place over younder cool water running through the burning sand until we learn to love one another we will never reach the promised land. Hole In The World 2001
I guess I should've used a more current pic of Don. Guess I was dreaming! lol

That is a gorgeous pic of Don, no matter how current (or not)

There is no more new frontier - we have got to make it here
p47 - not sure I entirely agree with you about this. No doubt the guys aren't as young as they used to be, and their weight may flucuate some, but I think they are still in amazing shape. When I saw Don live in November, 2009 and Glenn last month, trust me, they were far from 'chunky'.
And yep - that happens to be my all-time, #1 favorite picture of Don. IMO, it is absolute PERFECTION!

I like that one, soda, lol. Yeah, they're in fairly good shape, considering their age and all the concerts and traveling they do. But that one clip of Don sure looked "chunky". Maybe my glasses do need cleaning or maybe he was just "retaining", like some of us do from time to time.
The On The Border birthday is the perfect excuse to post these. One of my favourite eras for Don - so, so, so gorgeous!
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
Ah - the man blouse era - love it!

There is a hint of a very young Robert Plant in a couple of those photos - a slightly angelic expression. I think if I do have a favourite era for Don this may be it.
