WE and GA, I like both your dreams!

I've had two very short Eagles dreams since HH and V went to Vegas, one with Glenn and one with Don. Last night, I had a longer one with Glenn, so I finally decided to put them all on here.

The first was on the actual night they were doing Vegas, so I guess the guys were on my mind! I dreamt that I was going to see Glenn perform solo in this tent outdoors. I was wearing a sleeveless white summer dress that zipped up the back. When I got to the tent, there was hardly anybody there; just some teens. I walked over to them. "Hey, do you know when Glenn Frey is coming out?" "Oh, he'll be here soon," one of them replied. "Cool," I said, then went to an area near the stage where there were maybe two other people, and they were hanging back. I was pretty much in a primo spot by myself - sweet!

The place started to fill in, but no Glenn. His band came out and started to play, but no Glenn.

Suddenly I felt a breeze on my back and I realized to my horror that my dress wasn't zipped up all the way in the back. I was mortified. I had to ask someone to fix it before Glenn came out! I turned to ask whoever behind me to fix it - and there was Glenn! "Don't worry, I'll help you with that," he said as I turned bright red.

Mercifully, I woke up at that point!

The next night, Don was the guest star of my dream. I dreamt I was driving home from teaching a class - History of the English Language. The car was full of my students and, inexplicably, Don Henley was riding in the backseat. He was being a horrible backseat driver, not only telling me how to drive, but also giving opinions on my teaching technique. It was so irritating! In my dream, I thought, "It should be awesomely cool that Don Henley is in my car, but instead, it's a huge pain!" I finally turned around and said, "Don, I already have a dad, I don't need another one telling me what to do!" "I was just trying to help," he pouted and scowled at me. I woke up with Don's look of disapproval still before my eyes, lol.

===========================

The last one just occurred last night. In this one, it was Long Run era Glenn wearing jeans and a white shirt, and I think it must have been inspired by the anniversary of the Live album.

I'm at the computer fiddling with some ideas for my site. I'm a little glum because I realize how much time and trouble it's going to take to implement them, but I also realize it must be done. Glenn walks in, chipper, and asks me what's wrong. "I'm just worrying about site design," I say.

He asks me to explain it to him, so I try. "The site loses functionality on mobile devices due to the .css format I used when I created it. Thus, I need to make it more mobile-friendly. The only problem is that since the .css format is the basis for not only the design of GFO but all of the sister sites, changing it would be a massive undertaking. Still, I hate how it is now...I've gotta change it! But the time it will take...hundreds of hours, no lie..."

Glenn just shrugs. "Whatever you want to do. It's no big deal."

Instead of being dismayed that Glenn is brushing off my concerns, I'm jazzed about the fact that he has chosen to come in and chit chat with me. I want to keep it going. I ask, "How did you come up with the design for your album covers?"

He replies, "Our Live cover was inspired by the red lotus flower. If you look closely you can see petals of the lotus flower embedded...." He whips out a copy of the album and holds it in front of me. "Look very closely..."

I lean forward to look. "I don't really see it..."

"Look more closely," he says in a low voice that I can barely hear.

I peer at it some more and suddenly, to my astonishment, I can see flowers petals in the design! "Wow! Of course! It's so obvious! I don't know why I never noticed this before!"

Glenn whispers, "It's a secret. Only a few people know."

"What about the gray? What inspired that color?" I ask, rather stupidly, but in my dream things like the appearance of a trunk and the color of metal don't occur to me.

They don't occur to Glenn either. "I forget why we used gray. I think we had had some really disgusting food that was gray earlier...."

"Like tofu?" I volunteer.

I hear some lady behind me say "How stupid!" and I turn around and glare at her. She is older and scowling at us.

"Excuse me, we're trying to have a conversation here!" I bark at her.

"Like I care," she says huffily, then leaves.

"Yeah, like tofu," Glenn nods, as if nothing ever happened.

"Cool," I reply excitedly, feeling I know a big, important fact now. "Thanks for the help!"

"No problem." Glenn straightens up and looks around. He abruptly leaves.

"Guess he has stuff to do," I think and turn back to my computer.

However, the next instant he's coming through the door again, carrying a box. He puts it down on the floor and starts moving things around. He begins taking stacks of books out and bringing some more boxes in. I realize that the books he's taking out aren't even mine, and I wonder how they got there. The boxes that he's bringing in are full of more books, binders, and papers.

He seems really focused on what he's doing and I'm a little nervous to interrupt him to ask what's going on. However, after he's brought in the fourth or fifth box I tentatively venture, "Are you working on something?"

"Yes, I'm going to store some of my papers in here," he says nonchalantly. "Just the ones that it's alright for you to see."

"Ooh!" I say excitedly. "I can look at them?! Because I totally wouldn't look if you told me not to..."

"I don't care if you look at them or not," Glenn replies. "These aren't state secrets. They're just accounting records, receipts for purchases, that kind of thing. Nothing juicy. I just needed a place to store them and I thought, why not here?" He smiles broadly. "Now, let's watch Seinfeld!" Suddenly, before us, there is a large screen on which Seinfeld is playing. In the scene, Elaine is arguing with a taxi cab driver over the tip because she wants more money back than he gave her.

"You know, I used to be a cab driver," Glenn confides as he sits in a chair that has appeared out of nowhere. "I made a lot of money off of tips."

"I bet you did," I say, thinking how a lot of his tips were probably not just because he was a good cab driver, but because he of his looks and charm.

I wake up before I can see what happens to Elaine!
