Saw in the sidewalk today the carving YTC + BOS. The latter obviously brought to mind Boys of Summer, and if you squint, you could get You Belong to the City out of the former!

eagle.jpg This one comes from Wisconsin to Albuquerque every year for Fiesta. I'd love to have it in my front yard but he stands AT LEAST as tall as a 6-7 story building.

This past Tuesday, Merle Haggard did a show at the casino that I work at. If I didn't have to work that night I would've tried to go. When I first saw that he was gonna do a concert here it reminded me of last year when Don flew all the way from Canada to see Mr. Haggard play in his hometown of Linden, TX. It made me wonder, if the guys weren't touring in Europe right now, would Don have made the less than 3 hour trip from Dallas to the casino I work at to see him in concert again. I will continue to ponder that and wish at the same time.

I was watching President Obama on the news talking about the new financial regulations and he talked about the things that had gone wrong 'from Wall St to Washington to Main St'. If he had said 'from Main St to Wall St to Washington' it would have been a direct quote from Don's song Gimme What You Got.

And while looking at the site for the New Orleans Arena for the Fleetwood Mac show, I noticed the top banner on the information page cycles to a photo of the Eagles eventually!
