We got 10 inches of snow today.It is supposed to be a low of 3 deg. on Friday and Saturday before warming up on Sunday.

It is -24 here right now with the wind chill and the same tomorrow...luckily my boss let me work from home today so I didn't have to go out in the tundra. I have rarely looked forward to anything as much as the end of this awful cold snap!

I know someone who is working in Toronto, and he reports that this morning he went out to work with a wind chill of -42.

YIKES ! I heard on the news yesterday it is warmer in Alaska, Finland and Greenland than in New Jersey right now. We are supposed to break the record for the low temp tonight of around -5 to -8.
Beginning next Tuesday it is supposed to be in the 30's to around 40. I can't wait. And, I usually don't mind the "normal" NJ winter.

Cool and sunny, about 70 degrees. I'm fighting off a sore throat and icky feeling. Caught a chill when hiking in the Everglades yesterday - got my shoes wet and muddy.

HB - This is a serious question - is that a lot of snow for Houston. How often does it snow in Houston ? Does the city have snow plows/sanders or does everything just shut down until it all melts ?
We are expecting maybe an inch of snow here tonight into tomorrow morning.
