He still does have the Eagles to consider. Winter 2012.... that isn't until December next year. That does mean he won't be competing with the Frey & Henley albums.
It's a great title, although with my heritage I would spell it 'Analogue Man' but this comes after a previous album by him which I would spell 'There Goes The Neighbourhood'.

I'm happy it's official, and there's sort of a release date. Can't wait to hear it!!
The more and more I think about it - this upcoming Winter makes a lot more sense. I'm hoping they mean Winter 2012 as in this January/February like Soda mentioned and not Christmas 2012. I'm just going to keep telling myself it is this winter.
