    Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures with us, GEF. Padstow is really picturesque. It reminds me a little of Simon's Town, here in the Cape, which is also our Naval base. In my fitter days I used to cycle 70 kilometres to and from Simon's Town (from my home). One of these days I will do it again!

    GEF your picture reminds me of all the trips to Cornwall my family made over the years for our annual Summer Holiday. Lovely times.

    gef - thanks for those pics of Padstow. They are beautiful. I had no idea the beaches were that gorgeous with the snow white sand and clear aquamarine water in that part of the world.

    Thanks for your nice comments everyone! tbs fanatic, where did you stay on your summer holidays? I lived in Cornwall for three years, and have had many holidays there, so I know most of the county pretty well.
