Has the definition of “obscure” changed or am I officially old now that Toto and Steely Dan are considered obscure?
ETA: well thinking about it maybe Toto can be obscure since they haven’t been together as a group in a while and they lost a couple of band members long ago e.g. Jeff Porcaro

Right or wrong, what’s done is done
It’s only moments that you borrow...
I didn't mean that the bands were obscure. I meant that the participation wasn't very widely known.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up. In that case this could make for a long thread if we’re including individual Eagles’ contributions and not as a group. Also, not “very widely known” opens it up, esp. if you mean regarding the general public and not the more hardcore fans.
Anyway, I found this thread that may be if some help since it covers the same topic and goes on for a few pages.

True, but we could look up sources on the internet. What I thought might make things interesting is if people post their favourites.
I have always loved this - Timothy collaborations.
Wynona, Juice Newton, Dwight Yoakim, Tim McGraw, THE SIMPSONS - lots of things most people wouldn't know about! Check it out -

The one I like is Glenn singing with Max Carl on an unreleased version of "Somewhere, Somebody" that appeared on youtube. He's not credited (there are no proper credits) but a Borderer came across it and was convinced she could hear Glenn. We agreed.

In a tribute to Glenn, one of the writers, wrote about how the song had been offered to Glenn and Glenn was going to include it on The Allnighter but then the offer was withdrawn because Jack Mack needed a strong song to help them get a recording contract.
Another great Frey/Carl song;

Max Carl & The Big Dance's 1998 CD One Planet, One Groove was produced by Max, Glenn and Mike Harlow with Glenn making some major contributions.
Stand out track, One More River, written by Max, Glenn and Jack Tempchin is a classic Frey song but doesn't appear to be on YouTube
