The Long Run & Desperado
The Long Run & Desperado
I Can't Tell You Why and the tedious One Day at a Time. Not one of Joe's finer contributions.
One Day at a Time and Desperado.
Tedious! One Day At A Time is only about 3 1/2 minutes long! it's worth it for the amusing intro.
I was very surprised to see Joe's Ordinary Average Guy in the HFO set list. It's a below average Walsh song imho but it still managed to liven up the the first half of the Eagles set list.
Sorry to see Funk #49 voted off. I thought it was an entertaining attempt to add something new to a track they've done almost every show since 1975 while making good use of the horn section. Decent jamming and the fingers thing is fun too.
I enjoyed Hole In The World too. A new song that doesn't come across as a solo track.
Next round I vote again for the "too many cooks spoil the broth" version of Peaceful Easy Feeling and Henley's 80's synth pop of All She Wants To Do Is Dance.
That's about 210 seconds too long. I am aware of its duration, but that doesn't enter into the frame when discussing how interesting you find a song. It's one of Joe's most average and uninspiring works. I do like the intro speech he does and fully admire how far he's come since the early 90s but when you bear in mind what he's capable of, and has indeed written in the past, it's a very mediocre offering.
I vote for Desperado and Life's Been Good.
I'm just wondering why people are voting off Desperado as no one seems to be giving reasons for song choice anymore? ?
"The more I know, the less I understand...."
Don't crack up, bend your brain, see both sides, throw off your mental chains"
That and it pretty much just features Don alone.
It's a wonderful song and one of my favorites, but something has to go.
