I admit, that was one of the first things I thought of (after thinking about how happy I was myself).

I would have certainly been shocked and then very, very happy. I soooooo hope it happens!

Yeah, he gave no indication that there would be any original material on the album... but why raise hardcore fans' hopes by calling it After Hours, yet not put that track on it? I admit I'll be disappointed if that's the case. I adore that song. Regardless, I'm just so happy he's doing something.

There was a brief moment in Niagara Falls when I thought he was actually gonna play "After Hours" at the show and my heart just about stopped, but it was not to be (although the show was incredible anyway of course). If he includes the song, and if he does some shows to support the album, I hope he includes "After Hours" in the setlist.

I thought that he might play it too, but if you look at what I said in my review he was very specific in what he said about the songs covering the 20s to the 60s and that does not include After Hours. While I would like him to record it I feel that it is entirely up to him what he does.

Of course it's up to him; that goes without saying. He's the one making the album! However, that does not preclude me from hoping that the song gets recorded.

No, of course not. What I meant was a message to myself (not to anyone else) not to worry about whether or not it is recorded, because I am so grateful that he is releasing the album regardless.

I still believe that he would't have called it [I]After Hours[I] if he didn't intend to include the song. I think he would have named it something else if the song wasn't on the album. JMHO & wishful thinking.
