Any suggestions for a decent bar nearby? GA had suggested East, maybe a bar that does food would be better than a restaurant ( for those of us who feel that eating interferes with our drinking capacity!)
I couldn't see much on google maps but I'll keep hunting

If anyone has an Irish 3 account you can sign up people to the list for the Neon bar in the arena, that could maybe be an option if the weather's crap. It won't let me do it with a 3 UK account.

    Hello everyone

    Couple of questions.

How long is the supporting act likely to be on stage for?
How long is Don's set likely to last?
Is the 11p.m. curfew strictly enforced?
Will it be difficult to get a taxi outside the arena post show?

I just ask as I may be in rush to leave concert to get back to my accommodation in time.

    Thanks

Hi, welcome to The Border - I can answer these two questions from my personal experience at Don's Manchester show. I think the support act will be on for about an hour or so (JD & The Straight Shot played nine songs I think in this time, I missed the first couple though). Don's set lasted about two hours, the show started at nine and ended at eleven. Hope this helps!

The support was about 45 mins in Cork, Don came on about 8:30 pm and including the encore I'd say he played a good 2 hour show. The tickets for Dublin say 8pm start but I'd say thats for JD. Also as its Saturday the curfew may be 11pm as opposed to !0:30 pm. I think it will be easy enough to get a taxi outside after the show to bring you back to the City - or a rickshaw. Where are you staying? Its about a 30 minute walk back into town. I don't think its on a bus route and the trams are suspended due to them linking the two lines!! (if that makes sense at all)
Keep posted, I think we are meeting up before the show, possibly the East Bar in the Spencer beforehand.
