    Damn, that sucks.

There was an American killed, a design student studying a semester abroad.

How horrible! Thoughts and prayers for Paris!

I hadn't heard about it until Kevin Cronin mentioned it at the REO concert I was at that evening.

There seems to be a close connection between Dave Grohl and Josh Homme and Joe... It's actually pretty hilarious, I can hear them saying, "Yeah, we're like, the Eagles of death metal..."

And that appears to be the case, the eagles portion of the name is indeed taken from the eagles.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Paris tonight. Stay safe.
I believe I heard that one of the crew is confirmed missing.
Very very sad situation. Paris is such a beautiful city. Thoughts & prayers are with them all.
When are they/ we going to take some measures to destroy ISIS? Watching them is just not enough. We can't just sit back & let this keep happening.

It's so hard to know how to respond. If even a few people are angry and murderous, they can do SO. MUCH. DAMAGE. Is there really any way this can be eradicated?

They slip through the cracks of our security measures & communicate with cryptic messages. I do think many of them are in their 20's , not young teens as you originally heard. They are sophisticated, manipulative, & DEADLY.
I do want them to ban the Syrian refugees coming into this country, as I feel many of them have no records & appear to be of no threat, but they really are.

I work in an area that is a target & even though there many police, & military around I do not feel safe coming to work everyday. These people pull sneak attacks & when you think they will attack one place, they go into another place & hit. It's very scary. This is a different world we live in today.

Apologies - I was able to read the article without logging in, I don't have a subscription. But now I have to log in. Anyway, someone was playing some examples of "death metal" music for Josh Homme, and then played a European (?) band called "Vader" and Homme said, that doesn't sound like death metal, they're like, the Eagles of Death Metal.
