MC - I am planning on watching the broadcast if I have time, but it's sometimes difficult for me on a weeknight. I don't have enough space on my DVR to record it unless I delete some stuff that I want to keep, including The History of the Eagles. I really enjoyed watching The Sound of Music though so I'm going to try to catch it.

I didn't even know it was coming on - I'm so clueless! I might check it out. I like Carrie Underwood. I'd have to DVR it, though, as I have a Christmas party that night.

Sorry for the confusion, Soda, my fault for not starting a new thread - I didn't know if there'd be interest in this year's live show, I can start a new one. This year it is not Carrie Underwood, it is Allison Williams - Brian Williams' daughter, she is in that show Girls. From watching the "Making of" show, it sounds like she has a great singing voice.
