Thanks for the welcome...long time lurker, just getting around to posting.

Hopefully I didn't put anyone off on going to see Journey by my post! I did enjoy the show, and Arnel really does sound like Steve, and he's very talented.

He's just *not* Steve Perry...and while I knew I wouldn't be seeing Steve, deep down underneath, that's what I expected when I went to the concert. If you want to hear the band's music and a good representation of Steve's voice, you'll be satisfied.

Well, unfortunately, I didn't make it to the Journey show last night. My friend that was going with me was unable to make it, and since I'm not a hardcore, I didn't really want to go it alone. I am a bit disappointed though because I figure that I probably won't get another opportunity to see them play right here in my own backyard.

It was nice of Steve Perry to send well wishes.

Just read it. It's like a fairy tale story! And I agree it was very classy that Stevie Perry sent that note. I love it when people who may have had an acrimonious breakup mature and realize that despite everything, what they had together was really special and shouldn't be tarnished by bitterness.

I think it was very classy of Steve Perry to send a well wish note...I didn't see them on this tour but saw them with Steve Augeri..We had the pleasure of meeting his wife and what a class act she was...
I do think Arnel sounds like Perry..I like their Revelations cd..

I really like Journey, especially my favorite "Lights". Steve Perry is one of the greatest rock singers of all time. He has one of those "unique" voices like many others such as Steven Tyler, Brian Johnson, Bon Scott, Axl Rose, etc. Neal Schon is a great guitarist too.

I'm working on getting tickets to see Journey on September 19th. Pat Benatar and Loverboy are opening. It's in Peoria, IL for those wondering. Show is at 7PM(central).

I love Journey and am a big Schon fan.

I hope you get them, Austin. I'd love to hear about the show.

I saw Journey on the tour for the album that had "Faithfully" on it (forgot the title!) I loved that song!
