    Not exactly sure this is the place to post this, but if it isn't… soda will move it to the right place.

    A 1965 Gibson SG electric guitar owned by Tom Petty will be auctioned, along with one the late rocker's top hats.

    A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the guitar will benefit two Southern California charities, The Midnight Mission that helps the homeless and the Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund.

    Heritage Auctions handles some very high-end sports memorabilia. I know about them, because the non-profit I work with has sold some Thoroughbred halters through them. I didn't realize they worked with non-sports stuff, but I am not surprised.
