Just in case anyone is still confused on this point...

"One Day at a Time" was advertised and marketed as a "new Eagles song" on Farewell 1, and it was performed by the entire band as part of their show. That was a full seven years before Joe released a differently arranged version on his solo album.

Thus, it is a REAL Eagles song.

    Jeez. Okay. Fine. I concede.

Interesting tidbit. Life's Been Good was also performed by the Eagles before solo release in the Hotel California tour in 1977. Particularly in October-November, where it was close to the encore.

But at the same time, sorry Soda, that doesn't change my mind. I still like LBG over ODAAT. Though I would've voted for something else, if it weren't for popular choices 😪
    The chemistry... nuff said

But if ODAAT is a real Eagles song, why wasn’t it put on a proper album i.e. LROOE or released as a single like Seven Bridges Road? They opted not to and it appears they forfeited their claim to the song. It is officially a Joe Walsh song now.

Since ODAAT appears to be on its way out and LBG is safe, I cast my vote for The Girl from Yesterday.

As long as F1 exists, then ODAAT is an Eagles song. I saw them do it. I am one of the few people on this board who did, I believe. (Where did all the people who wanted LBG gone go? I have now wasted my vote, twice).

As for TGFY, it's heartening to think that maybe opinions about it have changed. It's totally underrated.

Though I agree it’s an underrated song, I’ve never seen much support for it. Did it used to be more liked?

It used to be widely disliked; that's the point.

Oh sorry I misread your comment. I thought you were saying the opposite

Hmm. For some reason I've got the F1 in my iTunes with the songs in it. I tried to find a retailer online but couldn't. Unless I would have found a bootleg (which IS possible), I had to have come across it somewhere. Maybe it was a bonus thing.

Still, ODAAT was never on an Eagles studio album. For me personally, that puts on the same level as LBG, and I much prefer LBG. To each their own I guess.
