That's very exciting news Selena. Does his tour include the UK too?

Love that picture of Crowded House and A Fan of theirs, FP!

I have never seen Springsteen. Maybe I'll finally go.

Soda posted the Glenn & Crowded House photo. He could have worked with them as he did with LRB. It would have been a good blend. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

Our county's Sheriff's Department Association does a fundraiser every year to raise money for things outside of the budget like more bulletproof vests or this past year, training and equipment for a dive and rescue team.

Anyway, we've contributed in past years, but have never actually attended the event that the fundraiser sponsers (usually a hypnotist, or a singer/band I've never heard of).

I wasn't home when they showed up asking for support this year. Hubby was, and he said when the officer told him who was performing this year he laughed and told the officer he had certainly come to the right door! The Eagles' tribute band, "Hotel California" is this year's concert and Steve was a nice guy and got me 4 tickets! What a sweet surprise!

Wonder if hubby's kind gesture has something to do with a comment I made to him when I was irritated with him last week-and I informed him he wasn't nearly as "nice and thoughtful" as he was when I married him.

Have any of you seen this band? Dreamer, why do I remember that you've seen them in recent past?

Aw, Molly, that's a nice gesture! From dreamer's account this sounds like a good band. You'll have fun, and please post a review for us.

Today, I heard that a band called Australian Pink Floyd is going to play a venue near us. Has anyone here heard of them, and are they any good?

I said in another thread I'd love to see an Eagles tribute band. Lucky you, Molly, to be able to do so in the name of a good cause! Steve is a doll.

GEF, I've never heard of that band, but I'm not a huge fan of Pink Floyd.

Yeah Molly - I did go see them last fall. I finally got around to posting a review on the board. I put it in the Eagles thread. Here's the link:

I think you will enjoy yourself. Be sure to let us know. I'll be interested to know if they change the setlist.
