I was watching clips from the Summerfest concert and I did see Glenn mouthing the words. He did it on In the City and I think I saw him move his mouth on Those Shoes. And also LR.

Thanks guys. I should reiterate I wasn't having a go at him, he looks quite cool doing it, like he's in his own little world
I think its cute too. He's been doing it since the 70s and he still does it.
I love it. It shows he's invested in all the songs, not just his leads or even Eagles songs since he also mouths during solo songs like Boys of Summer, Rocky Mountain Way, etc. on occasion. Adorable.
It's actually not that uncommon. I often see Lindsey Buckingham mouthing lyrics to Stevie's songs and vice versa during Fleetwood Mac's concerts. I think my favorite is when he mouths some of the lyrics to "Stand Back" (Stevie's one solo number in the set). What a hoot that is! "I need a little sympathy... stand back!"
I remembered Lindsey doing that on Stand Back.
Now I want to watch FM's Boston concert. Now where did I put my DVDs of that concert. lol
I didn't realize the instrumental before Tequila Sunrise was written by Glenn and was the first track on Strange Weather! i didn't know that for the longest time!
They will never forget you til somebody new comes along
Yep - And I might add, it's a beautiful piece of music, IMHO!
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
Seems as good a place as any to ask.
I was listening to the studio version of HITW last night, and as such remembered the song from here: is that performance the only time Joe has ever performed a song without playing an instrument?
Thanks FP, thought so. Looks a bit wrong
Watched this for the first time in ages today (skipping bits and pieces), a few more fave moments:
- When Glenn's speaking before NKIT and TBS and Joe both indicate 'one' behind him with their fingers.
- Don's 'job done' look as he finishes on Already Gone.
- ASWTDID. I slated this in the past I think but watched it again and fell in love with it. One of very few occasions I can remember everyone having such a fun on stage time during a song. They really kick off the 'loitering' label!
