On Jackson's well loved The Pretender album, one of my favorites, The Only Child, is backed with harmonies by Don Henley and JD Souther.

The album Late For The Sky has Don Henley credited with harmonies, but it doesn't say which songs.

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.

I know how many people love Fire Lake & Against The Wind, but give me Shame On The Moon any time.

My other favourites are Baltimore & Rider In The Rain from Randy Newman's Little Criminals album.

I'm a newbie to all the history of the Eagles. The doc started it which prompted me to find this site.

Thanks for this thread!! I'm going to enjoy listening or re-listening to these tunes now that I know who is backing!!

I absolutely love Against the Wind. And I also love Boz Scaggs' Look What You've Done to Me, but I thought all of the Eagles were backing him on the song, not just Timothy.

You're right--I got carried away with the Timothy stuff. Imagine that. But only the version on Boz's greatest hits album. The version in the movie and the soundtrack has women background vocals and not the Eagles.

Glenn sings backup on Randy Newman's Short People and as someone mentioned he sings the "against the winds" at the end of that Seger song.

I only didn't mention his part in Short People because I prefer his parts in Baltimore & Rider In the Rain from the same album.

In Against The Wind he sings other parts of the harmony as well, not just the title, and it's throughout the song, not just the end.
