Another hard decision, but I think Dreamer is right about Top of the Stairs. The vocals are great, of course, and the acapella is charming; however, the melody itself seems a bit too spritely for the lyrics, which are more seductive than barbershop.
I cast my vote for Top of the Stairs.

As Top of the Stairs is one of my fav songs from feed the fire... I cast my vote for Playin' it Cool and I encourage others to do the same.. One of the things I LOVE about Top of the Stairs is that, it is different and you've gotta love that Timothy tries new things and takes these risks when so many of his contempories are not. When I listen to Top of the Stairs and think about all those vocalizations being Timothy it just makes me smile...

. Between it and " Top of the Stairs " I prefer "Top of the Stairs" for the reasons timfan noted. It's not one of my favorites but I do acknowledge the talent involved in making it. I listened to both again and decided to rethink my previous choice.

I'm happy to cast my vote for Playin' It Cool. It's just way too dated for my taste. Way too 80's typical for me... I love old school music...but I cannot grasp this song.
