Thanks shun. I enjoyed that even if I was totally lost on all the techy talk.

I'm delighted to see the over priced re-release of Joe's 1974 album So What, that features the other Eagles, quite a bit (Don, Glenn, Randy & JD but not Bernie), is number 5 in this weeks Amazon chart; New Releases by Veteran Artist.
http://www.vintagevinylnews.com/2015...rs-lynyrd.html.
1: Joe Satriani - Shockwave Supernova
2: Roger Waters - Amused To Death (CD/Blu-Ray)
3: Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More For The Fans
4: Warren Haynes & Railroad Earth - Ashes & Dust (2 CD Deluxe Edition)
5: Joe Walsh - So What (Hybrid SACD-DSD)
Granted, it's not the most high profile chart around but it's still a decent achievement... and a great record.

Thank for the links everyone. I love that article about the James Gang and agree that they may have been one of the heavy metal pioneers.
And that's terrific that the re-release of So What is doing so well.
cynd - That iink you posted just takes you to an Eagles page. I did find the video you were referring to by scrolling to the bottom left. It's titled something like 'Ringo celebrates his 75th birthday by calling for peace and love'.

Joe and Marjorie were out to dinner with Paul and Ringo at Craig's on Melrose, which I believe is the same restaurant Glenn went to a couple of months ago (in the Bentley). It's a happening place!

I don't know who Al Schmitt is but he's now got a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Joe spoke during the Ceremony,
http://www.gettyimages.in/detail/vid...tage/484202594Recording Artist Joe Walsh speaks as Al Schmitt is honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on August 13, 2015 in Los Angeles, United States.
Got this earlier today in a Google alert. Joe will be a preformer at "UNITE to Face Addiction", a rally for those suffering from addiction. The event is scheduled for Oct. 4th, at the National Mall in. Washington DC, and is free to the public.
