Starting a new show on Showtime "The Affair" It stars Dominic West and Maura Tierney. It is so good, a love affair wrapped up in a murder. There are two families involved that live on Montauk. It's just started so I'll let you know. Very juicey and suspensful.

I saw it advertised and thought it looked good, but I don't get Showtime. Boo!

    Spoiler alert ...

Can't believe they cancelled Dallas! And we missed 3 episodes while we were away. Set video (yes we still have video) but they altered digital channels.

Looks like they brought Drew back (good) then killed him off (bad).

I think the plot has got too convoluted and we don't need the evil drug runner lot at all but it never stood a chance of attracting ratings once they moved it to midnight. No one was going to catch it by chance.

Oh well. Hopefully Nashville will be back soon.

I guess they think there is a possibility of another station picking it up. We'll see.

Surely it wasn't actually Christopher that got blown up in the car....boo if it was!

Uh-oh - we haven't seen that in the UK yet but the rumour is that Jesse Metcalfe wanted out so it probably is Christopher.

There is a SaveDallas campaign that Patrick Duffy and Josh Henderson are supporting but in the UK it got low ratings.

I was sad to see A&E cancel Longmire, which is one of my favorites. I was glad to see that Netflix has picked it up and there will be a third season.

I love the fact that Netflix and Hulu have come along. For only $10 / month I can watch a ton of shows, plus their original series are really high quality. And they are way less than HBO/Showtime/Cinemax. I'm hoping for the day (soon I hope) where providers are a la cart, and we can just pay for the stations we watch.

That's good news. I still don't think anyone has picked up Dallas yet. I was really hoping for it - seems a shame to end it this way.

So more on the new show The Affair I started watching. I say started because it got Old very fast. I wouldn't recommend. But I've started watching another one on HBO Getting On. It's dry humor but in short it's about a Dr and nursing staff taking care of elderly patients or hospice. I know that doesn't sound funny, and it's not haha funny. It is more true about what happens when we grow older or have a terminal illness. All the little things that make a hospital run including how they get money for unnecessary studies and how we the patients are paying for these stupid studies pne way or another. Also it's touching because like I said a lot of it is true to life. The Dr. is played by Laurie Metcalf (she played Rosannes nutty sister) she's still plays a quirky Dr. and Niecy Nash is one of the nurses. If you've ever taken care of an elderly person or been in the hospital it's a show to see. IMO

    Sounds interesting!

    Nashville
sure had a heck of a trailer for its upcoming episode. Since Rayna shut down Deacon after his heartfelt confession of love, it looks like he might relapse! I hope not.
