    Default Celebration of "Timothy B"

Timothy's second album, Timothy B, entered the Billboard Album charts 24 years ago today! Personally it's my least favorite of his.

    Here's Timothy's biggest hit:

And my favorite song from the album:

Since we've done it for other albums, I've ranked the songs from favorite to least favorite:

    1. Don’t Give Up
    2. Boys Night Out
    3. Hold Me in Your Heart
    4. Jazz Street
    5. A Better Day is Coming
    6. Everybody Needs a Lover
    7. I Guess We’ll Go on Living
    8. Into the Night
    9. Down Here People Dance Forever

    1. Boys Night Out
    2. Don't Give Up
    3. Jazz Street
    4. A Better Day Is Coming
    5. Hold Me In Your Heart
    6. I Guess We'll Go On Living
    7. Down Here People Dance Forever
    8. Everybody Needs A Lover
    9. Into The Night

The first 4 are a constant and that rest can be pretty much interchangeable.

I went back and listened to the album today. Here's my order:

    1. A Better Day Is Coming (I just find this inspiring)
    2. Boys Night Out (so jazzy - love it)
    3. I Guess We'll Go On Living (I think this one is pretty and affecting)
    4. Don't Give Up (I like the "watcha tryin' to do!")
    5. Down Here People Dance Forever (unusual but enjoyable, especially the chorus; memorable)
    6. Into The Night (not his best work but the eerie vibe is cool and I like the chorus - a pattern, I know)
    7. Everybody Needs A Lover (the verses are mundane but I like the chorus)
    8. Jazz Street (not bad)
    9. Hold Me In Your Heart (Tim's voice seems almost tentative here; not my cup of tea)

Always in our hearts, Never forgotten

    HAPPY 24TH ANNIVERSARY TIMOTHY B!!!

I think I know my list, but I want to give the album another listen before I post just to refresh my memory. This is also my least favorite of Tim's solo efforts, but I still like most of it.

    HAPPY 26TH ANNIVERSARY TIMOTHY B!!!

So hard to believe a lot of the guys' solo work is over 25 years old now.

Happy 31st Birthday to Timothy B album.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
