Close, but I'll go with 1973.

"Sad" Songs:
"Most of Us Are Sad" or "The Sad Cafe"
I'll go with The Sad Cafe.

OTB co-lead vocals: Ol' 55 or Good Day In Hell
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
Wow, that's hard, I love both. I'll go with Ol 55, though, one of my favorite eagles songs.
----------------
Glenn's singing songs originally sung by another Eagle: Desperado or Take It To the Limit?
No one can hit that fabulous high note better than Randy ...
so, Desperado is my choice here

Greatest Hits leadoff songs: Take it easy or Hotel California?
Okay tac0 - yours is a tricky one for me. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by greatest hits lead off songs, but I'll take a shot at this. While Hotel California is my favorite all-time Eagles song, Take It Easy is right behind it. But, I'll go with Take It Easy to lead off their greatest hits since it was their first one.

Joe's live Eagles performances: Funk #49 or Life's Been Good
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
Life's Been Good--I laugh every time Joe changes the lyrics.

Timothy's solo album opening tracks--One More Mile or My Hat?
A little peace of mind is all I'm looking for....
apologies .. not the best phrase to have used, but there was a baseball convo going on w/in earshot.
Better wording might have been .... Greatest Hits first tracks: TIE or HC

One More Mile is my pick from FBTs post

Hotel California album: original release or recently released remastered version?
Thanks for the clarification tac0. Now, that I get what you were asking for, my answer is still the same.
And as far as HC - I'll take the remastered version just because it comes with that live CD.

Album cover art: On the Border or One of These Nights
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
Definitely OTB. I love that art, it just gives me a nice, fun, warm, summer vibe to it. OOTN is interesting but it seems outplace for the period the band was in.
Take it Easy: acoustic or electric
Hey YEF - How are you doing?
I would have to say the electric version of TIE. I just love that 1977 Capital Center Concert with the electric version.
Hotel California - Original or HFO version.
