So is everyone having a super bowl party this afternoon? (Americans, I guess!)

We are staying home and having just us. With the snow it's just more comfy! I'm making wings and also a new chip dip. Maybe a beer or two!

I could care less who wins, just not a football fan, but I will watch the commercials!

It's a good thing I planned on watching it myself! I just don't care about the outcome of this one enough to be out late on a work night. As it turns out, not long after I got home from work on Friday, I developed a cough. By the time I went to bed it was bad enough that took some cough medicine. Yesterday, it developed into a fever for most of the day, and no amount of Advil seemed to bring it down. Fortunately, today, I feel much better. The temperature is back to normal, though if I eat even a small amount it shoots up over 2 degrees, so it looks like my Super Bowl partying will consist of water, and perhaps Ginger Ale! Watching the Pens at the moment and they surely are making me wish for some alcohol!

LOL, TT! For the Super Bowl, it was 50 and raining here, but by yesterday morning it was 23 and snowing. Originally they were calling for it to be all snow, so I'm glad that didn't happen.

I'm missing work again today. The doctor gave me an antibiotic yesterday that you shouldn't take if you're allergic to penicillin, and I am, so after getting it filled, I realized I can't take it. I have complete laryngitis, and so I sent an email to the doctor's office that I did, and that I would have to come in to take care of it. So...they called me! Does that make sense? All I could do was squeak into the phone and she just assumed I was agreeing with everything she said. The fever comes and goes, and I had to sleep sitting up last night because the codeine had no noticeable affect that I could tell. I will be so glad when I get over this...

I just found out it is pneumonia, and the doctor prescribed yet a different antibiotic that has a side effect of 'death'. The less serious side effects can be things like being crippled for the rest of my life. Since I can't talk on the phone, I had to send yet another email and tell them I do not want that antibiotic, I don't care how rare the side effects are.

Yikes, VA! Yeah, some of the side effects of some of the drugs make me think I'd rather have the illness!
