    I view The Voice as one of those TV competitions where the actual winners are the judges. I'm actually disappointed that Joe has had anything to do with it although I like the fact that Joe is happy to work with "anyone except Don Felder" to quote Glenn Frey.

    Much happier to learn that Joe is to guest on the next John Mayall album. http://www.udiscovermusic.com/joe-wa...n-mayall-album

    I hope Joe's still playing and recording when he's 82.

    Funk50. I have a feeling Joe will be playing until he's 90. LOL I just don't see Joe retiring. He still have so much left in him.

    Joe and Don are on the list of what shows you should go see this summer.

    Good articles I hadn't read about Joe. Re-read and listened to the tunes on the Rolling Stone 15 songs.

    Hope to see Joe in August.

    I really don't like to hear anyone besides Randy sing this song because no one can do it like he did back in the day, but this is what Joe chose as a tribute, so I think it is heartfelt.

    Thank you, Funk. Joe's defense of Zep (Page is a long-time friend, as you know) is eloquent and informed:
    “The ‘Stairway’ claim was based on the four chord descending progression at the beginning of the song, which is similar to the Spirit one (and maybe 30 other songs — one of which Randy California came across and used for the Spirit piece — he didn’t write it. He used it),” wrote Walsh. “The grandfather of these progressions is: C, A minor, F and G. Starting with the early 1950s, there are probably 500 of these songs, all with those four chords — but each with different melodies and words. THAT should be the criteria for claims. C, A minor, F and G wasn’t stolen — it’s a standard single song form. Nobody owns these.”

    “Robert Plant’s vocal melody and haunting lyrics make ‘Stairway’ uniquely different from anything else which might have occasional similar chords,” continued Walsh. “It’s called ‘intellectual property’ and the internet ate it. One more thing: NOBODY in a music business legal procedure is telling the truth.”

    Joe's idiotic namesake has been hogging the news outlets today but hidden in all the bile, the good Joe Walsh has a few gems worth a look;

    The 1st is from a while ago and I'm sure it's been posted before but it's really good;

    I saw that about the other Joe Walsh and feel so bad for our Joe as he's accidently getting tagged on Twitter and FB in some nasty posts about the other one and what that guy said about the President since these users aren't checking which one they're tagging.

    What I don't understand is that some of the articles say, "former IL Congressman." Unless I've been living under a rock, our Joe never ran for Congress and probably never lived in Illinois. The other Joe is 55 while our Joe is 68.

    I feel so bad for Joe. And the other Joe Walsh, his first name is not even Joe. Joseph is his middle name.

    Anyway. People need to read or do their homework.

    So many people are careless and stupid. Remember that thing a few months ago where a gorilla got killed to protect a child who had climbed into the zoo enclosure? There was a woman who shared a name with the mother, and people were attacking her on social media because they didn't bother to check. They weren't even the same color!

    I'm just glad that as far as I know, the only visible people on the internet who share my name either quilt or write about dogs.

    Poor Joe!
