Well, they put on a great show despite a myriad of technical problems that culminated in Don's microphone not being ready for Desperado. They played the intro and then no one sang. Eek! Don seemed to take it in stride saying, "it wan't his fault. No one told him." and then just jumping in and singing. He sounded great.

Awesome new (to me anyway) version of Witchy Woman. Jioe was in fine form and seemed to be the crowd' s favorite even on Don's night in a more refined setting.

As shown above, the theater was beautiful snd Don looked ultra handsome in his suit.

They opened with How Long and didn't do the sitting around on cases and amps thing. Timothy's voice sounded strained. I wondered if he was getting Glenn's cold. Don sang Dirty Laundry. The seats we had were very good, snd we really enjoyed the show. I'm sure the others will fill in the blanks!

ETA: I was surprised that Don was on the drums a good part of the night!

What a great picture of Don and Robert. Robert looks great for his age. He never ages.

I saw the setlist on facebook. Here's what they sang.

    2) Take It To the Limit
    3) Train Leaves Here This Morning
    4) Peaceful Easy Feeling
    5) I Can't Tell You Why
    6) Lyin' Eyes
    7) Witchy Woman
    Already Gone
    9) One Of These Nights
    10) Heartache Tonight
    11) Those Shoes
    12) In The City
    13) Life's Been Good
    14) Dirty Laundry
    15) Funk #49
    16) Life In The Fast Lane
    Encore
    17) Hotel California
    1 Take It Easy
    19) Desperado

Wow, shun! I always think RR looks sooooo old when I see pics of him these days. He was just so gorgeous back in the 70's that I can't hardly look at him anymore!

Good to see Bernie got to go too!

Sounds like a great evening. I would love to hear 'How Long' sung live again. A great song to open with if they are not doing the HOTE show. The venue looks great too!

I was very excited when they opened with How Long! I really love that song.

Just a couple of other things. Right near the end, Don told someone near the front to "put that thing away." I assume it was a cell phone or IPad. People around us were taking pics with cell phones all night, and it really does get annoying. There were notices on the doors that the Eagles requested fans not to use them, but nothing was done by the ushers or security (that I noticed, anyway) up until that point.

I also wanted to add that before the show, we grabbed sandwiches at Panera, and the young girl who waited on us was very sweet & pretty (my son said he would have asked for her number if she lived closer. ) I commented that she was still smiling despite a long, busy night, and she said she was actually bumming because the Eagles were playing down the street tonight. I said that's where we were going, and she said "You guys are killing me!" I asked her if she was a big fan, and she said yes, and so was her mom but she lives in another state, and she really wished they could go together.

After the show, my son and I were taking selfies in the lobby and a couple asked us if we wanted them to take our picture and then we could take theirs. We said yes, and it turned out they were brother and sister (fairly young) and they had matching t-shirts with their dad's picture on the front, and the words to Take it Easy on the back. They said their dad wasn't able to come but they wanted to bring him along with the shirts. Since this is the second Eagles concert my 21-year-old son and I have gone to together, I loved the two stories of parents and grown children bonding over the Eagles. It made me grateful that my son and I were able to go together, too!

Mary C that is so great that you got to go, and the fact that you went with your son made it even more special. Isn't it great when you get to share music with your kids? I went to see Bon Jovi with my daughter and we saw Jackson Browne together a few times. She also loves the Eagles and the Beatles. Our music is timeless.
