I saw that about "The Simpsons" when I was looking up on Wikipedia about the song two days ago. That episode parodied the movie "The Warriors", which the song was part of the soundtrack. But that is funny timing.

I really wasn't watching the episode. I would glance up at my tv, but I wasn't watching that episode. I was mostly listening to it while I was on my computer. My head shot up when I heard In The City. I did beach scene at the end of the episode.
I heard "Rocky Mountain Way" this morning at around 8 on 98.5 KFOX (Bay Area classic rock station). When I heard the guitar intro and realized that this was the song, I was like this is effin' Joe Walsh!
Sorry about the non-Eagles username. It's no offense to them or anybody, but I was really into The Clash and just got into the Eagles due to Glenn's passing. It just didn't feel right to use an Eagles song username if I've only been into their stuff since January. I've been snooping around these boards since his passing.

No need to apologize for your username, RCF. We have plenty of members that don't use Eagles-related names. Welcome aboard and glad you decided to join us here.

Welcome Rudie. I am a fellow Northern Californian and I listen to 98.5 KFOX frequently.
Has any Eagles song made an immediate impression on you?
FWIW,
"King of Hollywood" - I like the eeriness and the guitars.
"How Long" - I remember seeing the music video for this on Vh1's Top 20 Countdown.
"Take It Easy" - I like to start my drive to school with this song.
"Heartache Tonight" - I like the drums and tried to find my dad's Eagles' Greatest Hits Vol. 2 after I heard it on the radio several months ago.
Is your username abbreviated for the song or phrase, "For What It's Worth"? I just kept thinking that it would be, or it's something personal to you.
Welcome to the Border, RCF.
