I'm glad you guys didn't mind me bringing up a pretty old thread. I just couldn't resist adding my two cents to it. I love how it inspired a few of you to update your lists. I'm sure in a couple of months mine will have changed.

Maleah, I can't help but laugh and think of you now (even though I don't know you!) everytime I see an old picture of Don and his 'fro. Your location cracks me up!

Don't feel bad. Don was deliberately making a metaphorical parallel between the end of the country's innocence and the end of a woman's "innocence" - well, at least that's what I've always assumed. Has he ever said anything about it? The video certainly leads one to that conclusion.

I also love Taking You Home - "This love... is like nothing I have ever known" - and "Everybody Knows" has a cool beat.

    2. A Month Of Sundays

    3. The End Of The Innocence

    4. Talking To The Moon

    5. Goodbye To A River

    6. Dirty Laundry

    7. The Heart Of The Matter

    8. Little Tin God

    9. Miss Ghost

    10. Damn It, Rose
This is my previous answer. I think it still stands. Again it appears that I'm better off not doing analysis.

If I were to give any honourable mentions they would be:

    Love Rules
    Lilah
    The Last Worthless Evening
They're Not Here, They're Not Coming
    Long Way Home

And Maleah, regarding Don's version of Everybody Knows - the version I heard doesn't have the sardonic gloom of the original version by Leonard Cohen. There is nothing wrong with it but the original is superior.

I'm just getting into the Eagles work, so I haven't gotten to Don's solo stuff yet. However, I really love "Boys of Summer." I remember seeing the video on Vh1 back in the day and I've liked it ever since even though I had no idea who the singer was.

    Welcome to The Border, Lilyeye!

I have only one Don album so far ("Actual Miles"), as I've spent the last year getting all the Eagles work together, as well as all Glenn's solo material. I'm getting there, though, I'm getting there...

I've got a peaceful, easy feeling
And I know Glenn won't let me down

Take it easy with collecting Don's work, Mrs. Frey
I have almost all his albums (only I Can't Stand Still, I'm still missing that album..), I can send you some songs if you like
