Good question, UTW. I would love to know those things too.

UTW - I would be more than happy to create a thread if the masses think it would be beneficial. I love answering questions and if I can't I know lots of people who would know the answer. It would probably be best suited to the off topic section since it's more about gear questions/info than Eagles gear in particular.

An off topic thread would be best for general guitar info. Sounds like a good idea!

    Done!

FP - if you could grab a close up guitar screenshot of the "speeding ticket" guitar I'd like to put it into the database. Rather than posting pics of the guys in the first post for guitar identification, I'd like it to be a close up guitar shot so people can identify them better. But in a separate post that would be great to have pics of the guys onstage with each of them in the future. So maybe one up close of the guitar and then one zoomed out of him playing it would be fantastic! And thanks for offering to do so - I always enjoy guitar pics so feel free to post anything you'd like.

Here it is but it isn't a Rickenbacker - it's an Ibanez!!! Sorry for the error!

Thanks! I will add it right now. I'm not sure exactly what model Ibanez it is - they made several models in that time period.

This is from 1980, from one of the dates in Texas or Louisiana (taken from Tom Wright's book, Roadworks).

That's pretty cool, UTW. Does he happen to say whose handwriting this is?

He doesn't say. It doesn't look like Don Felder's writing, compared to his autograph, so I'd guess it's his guitar tech. (I'm assuming DF because of the doubleneck for HC). I like how one of the guitars is called "Monster" and another "Beast".
