I enjoyed reading "The Wild Palms" aka "Absalom! Absalom!" (even though I was never really sure what was going on), but the audio version of "The Sound and the Fury" pushed me right to the edge, and not in a good way.

I cannot imagine listening to "The Sound and the Fury." That one works better using your own imagination for the different narrative voices. IMO.

"Light in August" is the one I couldn't quite connect with. I like his short stories, although it's been a long time since I've read anything by him (like BK).

I'm a bit mixed up with my Meiner threads

I saw this photo on L&M's page last week. I didn't realise that it involved writing and recording

Isn't it wonderful? We've been discussing it in the RM Photo thread.

Sorry guys, I tend to skip the "photo" threads

I was kinda surprised that I hadn't seen it mentioned. It is wonderful. It's a prickly topic but it does suggest that his ex-wife didn't support his continued participation in his chosen vocation.

It was a major development and probably should have gotten its own topic. There was so much excitement about it though...

My thoughts on this are aligned with yours, Funk50. However, she may have had her reasons.

It's just great to see Randy out of the house. About the music/writing I am taking that with a grain of salt.

Perhaps we could start a new thread "Recent Randy sightings." Let's hope it becomes a more common occurence

Vote for Randy as "The Best Rock Bass Player" - he's currently #9. Go, Randy, go!

When I saw #9 I thought that was a typo! The last I looked he was #29 out of 70! Wow, he sure climbed up.
