Ok - I have a funny Joe story to share....

Last night I was watching the movie "The Waterboy". Now I have watched this movie UMPTEEN times since I was younger. I'm a huge Sandler fan and have all of his classic movies and I've seen this particular film many times.

But I was watching it last night and this song comes on I've never heard before.. After awhile I said to myself "That sounds like Joe's voice" but I had never heard that song on Joe's albums. So I googled the lyrics I was hearing and it IS in fact a Joe Walsh song I had never heard before (and I thought that wasn't possible!). The sad thing is I have heard that song many a time in that movie and never thought of Joe. But I did for whatever reason last night!

Ah yes, I know that song! In fact I think it's been posted here before. I think it's much cooler to hear it when you're not expecting it, though! It's like finding a little treasure!

Yes it was very interesting. I had heard that song on the movie many a time, but never elsewhere (let alone a Joe album) but this time something made me think "that sounds like Walsh's voice on that song" which prompted me to look online and sure enough, it was! Pretty cool!

Now if Joe would hurry up and get the new album out. I'm very INPATIENTLY waiting. This is my summer of concerts. Lynyrd Skynyrd/ZZ Top next week, KISS in July, I would LOVE to add more shows to my list. Motley Crue, Poison, and the NY Dolls are coming to the area but I can't justify that show as I only like one out of the 3 bands (Crue). But I'd love to have more concerts this summer. Any in Peoria/Springfield and I'm there. But I'd go to Chicago for Joe/Eagles/someone BIG that I really like. I love going to concerts!

A couple "new" (recently uploaded) Joe vids.

Joe looks in rough shape here. I'm so glad he cleaned himself up and he's looking quite healthy/happy these days. He's definitely my hero!

In the LITFL video Joe is playing a beautiful 2-tone sunburst Fender Stratocaster. In the RMW video Joe is playing a beautiful Gibson Les Paul Standard.

Thanks for those, Austin. No matter how messed up Joe was - thankfully, he never forgot how to play those guitars - that's for sure.

Thanks for posting those - little did Ringo and Joe know that one day they would be related by marriage!

I really don't like his version of LITFL, though, I have to admit.

I like his version of LITFL in this video:

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eNj3P7gGmY[/ame]

I think it's cool he does Eagles songs in his solo shows, just like Henley and Frey will do. I also think it's cool they do each other's tunes. JW singing Desperado, GF doing Rocky Mountain Way, etc.

But in that particular video of LITFL I agree. But the other video I'm posting I think is a good version. I still love the original though!
