Yes, surely they were told who he is, what I meant is if they weren't told...would they know who he is...I mean he is a well known Sacramento boy...so are they familiar with him because of that? or because they know the Eagles...seems unlikely to me..they are so young unless their parents are fans...or maybe they had never even heard the name before the teacher told them he was coming in...that's what I'm curious about...

If a celebrity is going to visit his alma mater, I would have thought that it would be necessary for the students to be told a) that it was his alma mater; b) that he is a famous musician with the Eagles. Whether they would or would not have heard of him would surely depend on whether or not they knew the Eagles. They may not have heard of him. Who knows? As to whether any of them would have known him just from Sacramento, I have no idea.

I had seen that before. Nice of him to visit the school. Even if they know the song Hotel California, I doubt these kids know much about the Eagles. They are just way to young. Wonder how TBS enjoyed that rap session??
