I read the book first, so when the movie came out I HAD to see it! I went by myself on a weekday when I had the day off work, and I congratulated myself afterwards for taking the plunge and going solo. I remember walking to the car in the sunshine after the movie and feeling the adventurous spirit of the lead 'character' in me! Okay, it wasn't India, but I never go to the movies alone.

That's cool! The film definitely makes you feel good and makes you want to go and there, meet people and be adventurous! I must read the book.

You should go to movies alone more often - it's great! I used to go a lot when I lived in London. It was my little treat. Pure escapism for a couple of hours. And, the best bit, no-one leaning over to ask: "What did she just say?"

Lol! I found out AFTER we were married that Hubby doesn't particularly like gong to the movies. Huh? Could've you shared this with me before we were married! Oh well, I love him anyway!

But yes, there are some movies I just don't want to wait for, so I will go alone sometimes! (For the record, he does go with me sometimes - maybe 2-3 times a year)!

I also saw it. Very funny!

eta- I saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean last week, and that was really good. I think it's the best out of all the Pirates movies.

My DH and DD1 went to see that when it came out here and thought it wasn't as good because of the different story line and the missing people. I haven't seen it yet as DD2 didn't want to go and there was nobody to have her while the 3 of us went. How long until it is out on DVD

Hubby took me to see the new Pirates the day after it hit the theaters. The only movies we ever go to the theater for are the Pirate and Harry Potter movies (how old are we?). Loved the new Pirates!!

We rented True Grit Tuesday night on On Demand. It was really good also, especially if you love westerns. Jeff Bridges did Rooster Cogburn well!

I've read all the Harry Potter books, seen all the films at the cinema and got all the DVDs. My daughter Hannah has a countdown written on her hand for the release of the last Harry Potter film. She changes it daily. Can't wait for July 15th.
