Great topic! I'm going to break my good'ns up over the next few days

Fairly Current:
Love Today - Mika http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tcn49zHLt0 (never heard of the guy, but a friend introduced me to the song..which I didn't like at first but the darn thing got stuck in my head lol)
Billie Jean - David Cook http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ce2_u9td014 (this is the video from the same show I saw in Minneapolis. From 3:10 on is amazing)
Permanent - David Cook http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXpzs7KZK3A (the song he wrote for his brother who has brain cancer. SUCH a beautiful song and the first time I saw this live video on youtube, I cried.....not gonna lie!)
Up To The Mountain - Kelly Clarkson (w/Jeff Beck on guitar) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shTQ5UTbfsM (absolutely amazing. I got goosebumps when she sang this on Idol and then when I saw her life with Reba and she sang it I got chills again!)
Tell Me Bout It - Joss Stone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mdq9j2azBY (funky! She's like the female Marc Broussard and Jonny Lang. A youngster with soul)
I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know - Marc Broussard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZVvvaj5ONg (I've posted this before in the Jonny Lang thread I believe. Seriously, this guy can provide some of the best vocals ever!)
Washed By The Water - NeedtoBreathe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onLnSiXQmDg (awesome song!)
People Get Ready - Newsong http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8b-IguYj30 (the link is only the audio recording with a title on it but the guy that sings the first verse is my fav. singer. He also sings the last verse but they cut it off before that.)
Red Light - Jonny Lang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spQESTkSHCo
Try - Jonny Lang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1idFJiudDC8
I Believe - Jonny Lang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWksMOFVLbg (I do believe he's gettin' into the music a bit there! LOL)
Ok that got to be a little longer than I intended. But I'm done for now! I swear!
Maleah, great job breaking them down and describing what you like about them. I'm never going to get through this thread!
Nancy, I downloaded your recommendation of Angel Eyes by The Jeff Healey Band - great song!
*note - while I was finding a good picture to go on my ipod and itunes for this one, I came across an article about his death. I had no idea he died! What a shock! He died last year at the age of 41 from lung cancer. How sad.

Ooh, I never heard the Casey Kasem rant! That must have been something!
What I heard was that the songwriter/singer thinks that his dog swam or was caught up in the sea, right? I only played it through once, so maybe I didn't get it all correctly?
