    Default Peter Gabriel and Sting

I heard during the week that Peter Gabriel and Sting are going to tour the United States and Canada together, each singing the others' songs. I just hope they bring it to Europe. While I like Sting, I have to say I adore Peter Gabriel who's second only to Don as my favourite singer ever.

Here he is singing and looking gorgeous with the fabulous Kate Bush in Don't Give Up which I dedicate to all those Glenn and Eagles' fans feeling low at the moment.

'Don't give up' is such an emotional song and it seems so right to hear at this time.... Nice choice DD.

That would be a cool concert but I think I'd prefer Peter Gabriel to sing his own songs...I saw him with Crowded House in Dublin in 2007 and he was brilliant!! (so were Crowded House - nothing beats singing 'Weather with you' in the rain )

I would love to see this. Sting came here with Paul Simon so I can live in hope, I guess. I saw Gabriel on the Us tour.

I could wax lyrical on a great deal of Gabriel's work, as I love the man, but I've been doing that more in a Facebook group I joined, & I'm not sure if I can do it here.

Until 1975 Peter was of course a member of the almighty Genesis, about whom I have raved in their own thread.

Weirdly enough I saw 'Don't Give Up' on television a few days ago - there was a programme which showed performances of various duets and it was featured. It was definitely one of the best they showed.

I love Peter's voice, it's very distinctive and there's something that's so, I don't know, very English about it. This is probably the wrong place to go into too much detail about Genesis, but even if you listen to something like his spoken word intro to I Know What I Like, part of what makes those lines so amusing (to me anyway) is the way he says them.

I would love to see both of these singers play together in concert!!! Peter Gabriel is simply amazing and loved him in Genesis and of course his solo career!!

You came along and changed my life Glenn!!

Wow - I'd have loved to have seen that. Secret World is probably my favourite from Us but it's such a great album.

He came to Dublin last year for a reprieve of So but unfortunately I was too sick to go

He is just so innovative and creative - an amazing performer.
