Interesting to see Izzy Stradlin's name on such a list. I've always liked his voice too.

I just hope I'm being accurate.. As I was reading the first few pages, I kept remembering of those in my head I forgot.. I'm not going to pick vocal range, etc., just a voice I like... Even if it's one song that is convincing. It's hard to distinguish just the vocals, as the music plays a part, it has to, so the other members should get consideration.

1. John Lennon
2. David Gilmour
3. Roger Hodgson
4. Roger Daltrey
5. Russell Thompkins
6. Karen Carpenter
7. Barry Gibb
8. Jim Morrison
9. Fairuz
10. Richard Manuel

If I don't ever listen to their music, can they be a favorite? I've done some deleting! I don't think I can list 10 of each that I consistently listen to!

My favorite male singers:

1. Don Henley
2. Glenn Frey
3. Jackson Browne
4. Bob Seger
5. Elton John

Favorite female singers:

1. Stevie Nicks
2. Nancy Wilson
3. Carly Simon
4. Linda Ronstadt
5. Carole King
6. Emmylou Harris

As far as most beautiful voices: guys haven't changed, but I find I think Nancy Wilson outdoes Martina McBride. Maybe it's because I prefer rock over country.

Male-Steve Perry (my husband and I have always debated over him and Dennis DeYoung and Steve always wins!)

Female-Nancy Wilson

How about sexiest voices:

Still the same! (yes, Bob! )

Male-Don Henley

Female-Stevie Nicks
Man....I had to go back and find mine and a lot of them are the same but there are a few that changed when I take into consideration the not listening to them part. haha

My favorite male singers:

1. Don Henley
2. Russ Lee
3. Elton John
4. Bono
5. George Jones

Favorite female singers:

1. Adele
2. Wynonna
3. Kelly Clarkson
4. Whitney Houston
5. Stevie Nicks
6. Trisha Yearwood

As far as most beautiful voices:
Male - Hmmm.....probably Don I guess? I don't know why that's a tougher one for me. lol

Female - Adele

How about sexiest voices:

Male - Definitely Don

Female - Still Adele!

Get well soon, Meerstern Those are solid lists you got there.

I've decided I should be more discreet about my musical opinions. I offended a large swath of family last week by bursting out, "Are you f/ing serious?!" when my brother-in-law and nephew expressed admiration for John Legend.

Delilah - LMAO !

I like John Legend but he is not by any stretch my favorite singer. I'll have to think about this one.

Oh I feel much better today, thank goodness!
Ehm, can I ask what's wrong admiring John Legend? I know just a couple of his songs but I can't even say if I like them

There's nothing wrong with liking John Legend. I'm going to repeat that every day to myself until I become less of a music snob. Please forgive me. I hate most modern pop music, it's incredibly irritating. I'm old and grumpy.
