Thanks for the clarification, Cheryl - I'll go fix the original post.

    Good deal!

I have to say, part of what informs my ideal tribute band is the one my cousin and her wife are in - Ladysmith. It's all female but even so, they do their best to recreate the members of Aerosmith's outfits and personas (see their official site) as well as their sound. For them, that's part of the fun. (Just putting in a quick plug! lol)

To make the above somewhat Eagles-related, Leslie ("Eve Tyler") took me to the Sunset Grill back a few years ago and convinced them to name one of their smoothies "The Ladysmith."

I friended you on FB, G. You guys look cool!

Thanks, soda! We should have some pretty interesting photos after the New Orleans show this weekend. All of the guys are making efforts to get that 70's Eagles look going. The mustache is coming along, though it's hard for me to look in the mirror without laughing! I'm not much of a facial hair guy, being ex-Army and all.

Any of you folks live within shouting distance of New Orleans? Would love to get a review from a real Eagles fan.

Well Greg, unfortunately, I'm not anywhere near New Orleans. But, if the Alter Eagles come anywhere within a few hours drive of Virginia, I'm there if at all possible. Good luck with your upcoming shows!

Yeah GL - it looks like you, Cheryl, and I must have seen the same Hotel California band.

I compared the setlist that Cheryl posted to what I saw and it looks like they changed up 3 or 4 songs. Cheryl got:

    Heart of the Matter
    Seven Bridges Road
All She Want's To Do Is Dance

    Whereas I got:

    James Dean
    TITTL
    Desperado
    Victim of Love

I like mine better because I got more Eagles songs. But, I would have gladly given one of them up for 7BR, of course.

I'm afraid that New Orleans is a good six hours south of me!

I did get 7BR! They did a pretty good job on it.

Here is a pic of my band (The Stone Eagles)

That was at one of our very first gigs. The sheet music stands belong to the band that went on before us at this outdoor jamfest, they were a church worship group. And you can't see our faces clearly due to microphones!

    Looking good, Walshfan!

Here's how I ended up looking with the cool 'stache and bell bottoms.

I uploaded the picture, but I'm not sure if it will show up or not.

Also, here is a link to a Youtube video of 7 bridges road from the friday Extra Concert we did back in the spring. The video on FB uses clips from this concert, but this fan posted the entire song video shot from her seat. It sounds pretty good considering it was shot with a handheld from the audience.

The New Orleans show was awesome. Tons of fans, and a perfect day for an outdoor rock festival. 4 really great bands and a whole lot of great music.

Thanks for the picture of your bands, Austin and Greg. And Greg, I love 7BR. Just hearing that song alone is always worth the price of admission to me!!!
