    Peek,

If you are able to get the dates, I'd like to know. Might be able to make it down if the timing is right for my "schedule".

I noticed she's with Jonny Lang at some other spots around me...what a great double bill

    In March, I have 3 Eagles shows in 8 days...wonder how'll I do it....what a wonderful problem to have
Yeah--I saw that he was appearing for 2 shows with Bonnie Raitt in March in Milwaukee WI. Half thought about that but can't seem to find the time or anyone else willing to go to all the concerts all of a sudden that are popping up.

    Ticky
--don't read the above about 3 shows in 8 days!! You can't even get one out your way and they will be all over around us here in the next month. How would you like to come to Indiana?

Awwwww, I'm so sorry....that's really rubbing it in.....

I still think the west coast is gonna get a ton of shows. Good things come to those who have to wait so long.

Found out that it's this thursday (March 5) that Bonnie will be at the casino I work at. I'll be working that night so there's no chance for me to get to see her perform.

Mike, they are always adding great entertainment and you can check out the acts that are gonna be coming through here at this web site. Let me know if you ever get the chance to make it this way.

I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to make that long a drive on a Thursday night. Too bad! I really like Raitt!

That picture of Bonnie is a really good one. Not just Bonnie, but her guitar too. That ax has been to the wars. You can tell she is a slide player if you notice how high the strings are raised up off the neck. And look how "worn" that guitar is. Her Strat looks almost like Stevie Ray Vaughn's #1.

And if you look really closely at her right hand, you can make out the finger picks and thumb pick that she uses....much like banjo or pedal steel players use.

Thanks for posting the link to your casino, PB. I would love to go there sometime! Hubby and I like Little Big Town, but we're not on track for a vacation right now.

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.

Well, since I have no other Bonnie experiences to compare to, I just can say I was a fan before, but I'm a Bonnie-worshipper now. She was incredible-playing, singing, stage presence, the whole works. This was the band's first show in a couple months and they were ready to rock. They're rescheduling the rest of her March shows due to family emergency, so I'm lucky she did this show. I don't know if she's always this emotional or vulnerable on stage or if it's her current family situation, but she was nearly in tears and had to gather herself a few times, then she put that passion and emotion into her singing. Angel From Montgomery was other-worldly. When she finished, she sat with her head down to compose herself, only to be overwhelmed again by the standing ovation (of which there were many-I was proud of the crowd's response, you never know what kind of a crowd it'll be in this area...). She was still very chatty and charming with her banter, in a nawty wink-wink kind of way. She was talking to her sound man when she changed to an old acoustic. Told him he needed to put more "fabulous" on it, that old wood liked to sound "fabulous", then patiently waited for him to get the sound she wanted.
The whole night to me was very touching. One of those things you get to experience when you're in the 4th row. Doesn't that spoil ya? There were several moments during the show that just raised the hair on the back of my neck.
The lead-in group, Paul Cebar band was excellent. Really enjoyed them too. Very eclectic, reggae to blues to some real stompers. All original and all very good. Perfect for pre-Bonnie. She stood offstage in the wings with her guitar tech and danced around for a couple of songs during their set, and really seemed to enjoy them as the rest of the crowd was doing.
Good evening in all, I'm sure glad I got the oppurtunity.
