That's a tough one - but if I gotta choose, I'll go with Joe's slide.

On the Border - the more I listen to it the more it becomes my favourite Eagles album.

Man, tough choice as neither are my cup of tea but I'll go Eagles, just because it was their first entry to the world and because of TIE, PEF, and WW.

I prefer Please Come Christmas, I like how 'ungimmicky' it is compared to a lot of Christmas songs - it's just the band playing and singing and it avoids the musical clichés like children's choirs or sleigh bells that work great on some festive tunes but often produce insipid results. Not a great fan of Funky New Year but I'm more of a Christmas guy anyway, never cared much for New Year.

Vocal ad-libs from On The Border: 'All right, nighty-night' on Already Gone or 'Say goodnight Dick' on the title track?

Well - no contest on this one for me ... I love the "alright, nighty-night line in Already Gone.

Most definitely HFO Don. By far the hottest and sexiest era for him.

Easy one for me again - without a doubt it's Talking to the Moon.

One Day at a Time (I know I'm in the minority there!)

Versions of "Please Come Home for Christmas": the studio version or the live version found on the Selected Works box set from the Millennium Concert?

Always in our hearts, Never forgotten

I prefer the original version, I prefer the minimalist rock band style of the original which I think differentiates it from the majority of Christmas tunes.

(Thought I'd better post in this thread before twelfth night to ensure I don't have to wait until next Christmas to contribute - I never listen to Christmas songs outside the festive season, including PCHFC!)

Early singles that weren't included on Greatest Hits Volume 1: Outlaw Man or James Dean
