Agree, that was sad. It was also sad to see Levon's bitterness in the followup movie. Being in a band can be so difficult. I was watching an interview with Grace Potter, and she said the prospective band watched The Waltz when they decided to be a band. Thought that was interesting.

I haven't seen the movie, but I've always liked The Band. Love "The Weight," and also "Up On Cripple Creek." Oh, I almost forgot "Ophelia."

I've seen parts of The Last Waltz, but not the whole movie. The Band is one of the bands that I can only take in small doses. After a few songs, I start to get bored.

I can cross a classic horror movie off of the list of movies I want to watch. Earlier tonight, I got to see the 1931 movie, Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi. It lived up to my expectations. Bela Lugosi defines and is Dracula to me. His natural accent is perfect for Count Dracula, and the trance stare is beyond creepy and terrifying. 5/5 for me. Beinh able to finally watch this movie sort of made up for missing Don Henley's Austin City Limits show.

Good list MSF. It's hard for me to narrow a such an expansive list of choices down. But, a few that standout out for me are Dr. Zhivago, Titanic, and The Godfather I and II.

Last night, I watched the 1980 movie Brubaker with my uncle. It stars Robert Redford as a newly hired warden of a corrupt southern prison in 1969. He arrives undercover, disguised as an inmate to see firsthand what the conditions are like. He then reveals himself and tries to improve things in the prison. Basically, most of the prison is not fit for humans to live in. The corruption is huge, and the prison board knows about it, but refuses to do anything because this system has worked for a century.

I really recommend this movie. It's a fictionalized version of the book, Accomplices of the Crime. A relatively young Morgan Freeman has a small part in the middle.

Getting into watching the same 6 or so Christmas movies I watch every year.

Everything from the classics like Miracle on 34th Street to Christmas Vacation to Bad Santa, lol. Elf is another fav.

I've been doing that too! So far:

    Elf
    Miracle on 34th Street
    It's a Wonderful Life
    Charlie Brown Christmas

I have recorded White Christmas and intend to watch it tonight. I want to see Fred Claus, but haven't caught it. And Bad Santa and Home Alone and...I could go on!

Christmas Vacation is reserved for Christmas Eve. Every year!
