My love for the Eagles just exploded!! Hello everyone!

I'm probably one of the few people on this board to say I was not a huge fan of them, until now. I liked a few songs before, but not enough to really say I was a fan...then I saw the History of the Eagles on tv last night. I love documentaries and tell all's of bands, even if i'm not a huge fan, so I kept it on and watched it. After it was over, I immediately went to my computer, downloaded more songs, watched videos, researched, found this forum, I was up until 6 am!!

It continued today, and I finally joined the forum so I can talk to other fans instead of talking to myself on Twitter and FB about them LOL My close friends either dont care much for them or hate them (yeah, right, HOW THE !?!?!)

I actually liked a few Joe Walsh/James Gang songs for years too, so I knew who he was. Also love Boys of Summer. About 5 years ago I saw an Eagles cover band at a casino, it was enjoyable despite the fact I wasn't a huge fan of them, but was surprised to find out I knew more songs than I thought! My favorite though was always Take It To The Limit. That song is just amazing. After I saw the documentary last night, I realized the 2 guys I like and respect the most were Randy and Joe. So I was SO happy to learn Randy sang that song, I love it even more now! Also I am blown away at how cool of a guy Joe is, I knew he was cool before but now that's on a whole new level!

I discovered a few songs I didnt know before that are totally relevant to my life right now. Wasted Time, After the Thrill Is Gone, You Never Cry Like a Lover, they are so sad and beautiful and making me cry which I needed (it's about a guy I'm in love with, ugh). But then Already Gone made me happy, even though I can't really quit seeing this guy (we work together), the song made me feel empowered. I love when a band comes into your life at a specific time, where their songs feel like they were meant to be heard RIGHT NOW. I think that is why I suddenly have this huge interest in them. This doesn't happen to me very often! So here I am. Glad to be here and ready to make some new friends!

except that I was already an Eagles' fan, that sounds like me. this documentary really jumpstarted my love and interest for finding out everything and anything I could about them.
and I think I was starting to look obsessive to all my friends (real and on facebook/twitter) cos I was/am talking about them nonstop & flooding my feed with Eagles' links and comments haha
so I was really excited to find the Border!

Welcome ALA. You will love this place. The board is amazing and so many cool people in here. I have always liked the Eagles, but then that documentary made me love them beyound belief. They are my inspiration. LOL I have been trying to find friends who love the Eagles as well. I am still trying to feed my soul with the Eagles. LOL I know this hunger will never leave me. Their music is like air. Can't live without them.

Welcome to The Border ALA! We're glad to have ya! I've loved the Eagles since the very beginning and held on through thick and thin! When they got back together it was an answer to my prayers and I've gotten to see them in concert several times since and even met Don Henley a few years ago. They are a wonderful band and they have wonderful solo careers too! There is lots to learn, so dive right in!
