Nicely said, Dreamer. Timothy has the "intangibles" (to use a sports term) that have enabled him to be successful long-term in a very difficult business. I think you nailed it on the head about his being secure. Since he was a teenager, he has been confident of his place in the music world, even if he has had to hustle at times, he was able to make it, always working. He has managed to remain a member of one of the most controversial bands of all time not by being a pushover, but by wisely maneuvering through all of the potential minefields over the past 37 years, backing it up with his solid musical talent. [this isn't even taking into consideration his 8 years in Poco, which doesn't sound like a joyride]

Well said! Timothy has said before that "I have my place in the band". I always took that to mean that He is secure enough to know that he is needed and has some security there, but wise enough to see what has happened when others decided to rock the boat. I'm sure he speaks up, but only when it really matters to him.

very well put Dreamer and tjh, Timothy must indeed be quite the diplomat to have been able to maneuver so well and like he's said he's not a trouble maker by nature so he's able to always stay in relatively friendly terms with the others, i.e. A VERY SPECIAL GUY

He shows a lot of wisdom and good sense within the band. I'm so glad he finally decided to do some solo work in 2009 to find a creative outlet for other material he writes. I wish he would do more! That was five years ago Tim, we're hungry for another one!

Talking about searching for videos about Tim under the name Schmidt, I found this. It's the first part of an ABC Radio interview about Expando. I have only seen the second half of the interview on Youtube, but had never seen part one.

She is a good interviewer, and Timothy is really relaxed and animated. It's a nice interview.

I've also seen only the second part of it and really wanted to catch the first one, since the interviewer did a great job and made Timothy feel comfortable.

I have to say that there is a special moment in the video posted by tjh that confirms my earlier observation: Timothy has the sweetest laugh/smile/giggle (not sure which word fits it best).
