I'm wondering if these will be songs that Glenn recorded or ones he didn't get around to:
“We’re all missing Glenn and this great space he left in our lives,” said Tempchin, who will release an album early next year featuring new recordings of songs he wrote with Frey. “He had a lot of further plans and things that he was doing that aren’t going to happen. That kind of dominates the mood. It’s kind of celebrating what he achieved in his life. He was the fire that kept it burning.”
    Source.

Or a mix of the two.

I expect I'll enjoy it either way. I'm really enjoying Learning to Dance.

I wonder if they were some of the songs that Glenn had written for "After Hours ll"?

I would imagine so. I have to say, if it isn't Glenn singing them, I'm afraid I can't be interested in this case.

I tend to agree although I would still like to hear the songs that Glenn has written at least once.

I'd like to hear them as well. He was a talented songwriter and I'm not going to dismiss his work because someone else is singing it.

However, I understand why not everyone will want to listen. It's hard to think of the lost opportunity....

I wonder if Glenn had recorded any rough versions himself?

I want to hear them but it will be with a lot of regret. While I like Jack's songwriting, I'm not a big fan of his singing and arrangements (based on his versions of Smuggler's Blues, I Volunteer and Already Gone).

I'm not dismissing it. Your comment about the 'lost opportunity' is closer to what I meant.

I hoped deep down for rough versions too, but I very much doubt there were any.

    Help!

I need to meet Jack Tempchin or at least get him a copy of my book. The song "Already Gone" and particularly the line; "So often times it happens..." is the books theme.

Any ideas, contacts, addresses would be appreciated. Does he ever play in Florida (I live in Key Largo)

    Thanks,

His manager runs his Facebook page. You might try that.
