    Default RIP Clive Burr

It is with sad news that the drummer on British metal masters Iron Maiden's first three landmark albums (1980's self titled, 1981's Killers and 1982's masterpiece The Number of the Beast) Clive Burr has passed away at the age of 56 after a lengthy battle from Multiple Sclerosis in his sleep.

I know many of you are not hard rock/metal fans but this is still sad news. I love Iron Maiden and this is a sad day.

Here is a brilliant drum solo from Clive from a live version of the Iron Maiden track "Another Life" performed in 1981 to give you all a glimpse of how great Clive was. God bless you Clive!

How I wish, how I wish you were here.

The three surviving Pink Floyd members (Nick Mason, Roger Waters and David Gilmour) and the Pink Floyd co-founders and key figures who have gone to their rest (Richard "Rick" Wright, "Roger Keith "Syd" Barrett and longtime manager Steve O'Rourke (who managed the band until his 2003 death, God bless them all).
