I cast my vote for "Ol' 55." I saw the band play back in the 70s and it always rubbed me wrong when Glenn used to sing "sex in the morning" instead of "six in the morning." It seemed to cheapen the whole thing for me.

I'll make an unpopular choie, but that's what this is all about - you vote for a popular song to let the less popular ones to get their turn. I see this one praised so often for its lyrics, but musically it does nothing for me. I vote for The Last Resort.
[gasp] The Last Resort is a masterpiece! The lyrics are devastating - taking on such a complex topics as manifest destiny, disillusionment, environmental degradation, yet not hindering the flowing movement of the song. And the way the music lifts up into a wide-open vista at the end? So powerful.
Anyhoo, I vote for The Sad Cafe. The music is lounge-y and the lyrics don't do much for me. Henley sings real pretty though.
I vote for Most of Us Are Sad.
I just find it boring overall and don't really see it as underrated.

Just a reminder that we are voting for what we think is the least underrated song, progressing through to most underrated. That may coincide with your opinion of the song, or it may not. The impression I'm getting is that if someone doesn't like a song, they must automatically think it isn't underrated & I guess that makes sense if you think about it.

Wow! I'm not sure what to expect from this game, but, if this round is any indication, we are all over the place about which songs are underrated. I was thinking about voting for Too Many Hands this round because I actually feel that it is somewhat overrated. To me, a song is underrated if it is a highly-quality piece of work that goes unrecognized and/or unappreciated by the general public. While I don't think TMH is a bad song, I do think Randy's songs Certain Kind of Fool and Try and Love Again are stronger, more underrated songs.
In any event, I'll wait and see how this round plays out - I may have to use my vote to save a song.

I'm just a bit confused here, sorry!!
Are we voting off the underrated songs in order of the MOST underrated song being voted off first, the Least underrated song being voted off first (in ones opinion) or just putting them all on equal footing and voting the, off based on our own preferences as to how well we like them as songs.

I think we are voting for the least underrated (ie the most overrated) first.
