I've just been introduced to The Thin Man series from the 1930s and I love it! Yes, the movies are dated, but that's part of the fun. The humor is still sharp and has held up surprisingly well; I laughed out loud several times. The second movie actually surprised me - I figured I knew who the killer was but I was totally off on the motivation. Even if you're not into old movies, check these out!

My mom raised me on the Thin Man movies. I love them!

The only movie on my radar at the moment is the screening of the new RUSH concert film on Monday night.

OH Soda...I am a huge old movie fan...and I love The Thin Man movies...William Powell and Myrna Loy are awesome together aren't they?

They certainly are! And some of the dresses she wore would be fashionable today.

My son saw it and said it was good, but I shouldn't see it because it had a lot very brutal scenes.

Last Vegas wasn't as good as I had hoped, but as always Morgan Freeman was superb. Plus he has a smile that lights up the screen.

Oh! I want to see Last Vegas. I'm not expecting it to be brilliant, but as long as it's feelgood, I'll go for it! I want to see The Butler, too.

I would tell anybody who hasn't seen Enough Said yet to go and see it. It is the best film I have seen all year. So funny, but poignant too. I loved it.

Has anyone seen August Osage County? After seeing it I really think Meryl should have gotten the Oscar but oh well.

What I am really wondering is did anyone catch the JD and the Straight Shot mention near the beginning? When Julia Roberts is being woken up by her daughter to answer the phone a radio is playing in the background and the DJ intros a song by JD and the Straight Shot... just wondering who knew whom in that movie to make that happen.
