I watched James Garner on television in "The Rockford Files" when the series aired back in the 'seventies. I always admired his roles.

Aww - I'm very sorry to hear about this. James Garner was such a wonderful actor no matter what role he played ... and he played many. My thoughts are with his family at this time.

James Garner brought me so many hours of entertainment with his tv series "The Rockford Files". I loved that show! I also loved the movies he did with Doris Day, my favorite being "The Thrill of It All".

My thoughts and prayers are with his family & friends.

I loved James Garner, he was so down home to me. I loved him in all his movies and works. He will be missed as one of the greats!!
    RIP Mr. Garner

    Ryonen:
When Ryonen was about to pass from this
    world, she wrote another poem:
Sixty-six times have these eyes beheld the
    changing scene of autumn.
I have said enough about moonlight,
    Ask no more.
Only listen to the voice of pines and cedars
    when no wind stirs.
    Senseki:
    At last I am leaving:
in rainless skies, a cool moon…
    pure is my heart
    Banzan:
    Farewell…
I pass as all things do
    dew on the grass.
    Basho:
    On a journey, ill:
    my dream goes wandering
    over withered fields.

He was a natural, wasn't he? Besides The Rockford Files I specifically remember loving him in Murphy's Romance with Sally Fields. Here he talks about that movie and his craft.
