A great quote from Deacon. I loved the fact the audience was showing him love and he really appreciate that. I loved that Deacon calls Don, Joe and Timothy his uncles. Deacon has known these guys since he was in diapers. He was just 1 when Hell Freezes Over happened in 1994. All of the Eagles children known these guys all their lives and probably became close friends with the other children. I wonder if the other Eagle children think of the guys as their uncles.
Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
Shun - Thank you so much - you are awesome !
Yes, Randy was there. I read on an Eagles FB Fan site that someone who had front row seats stated they saw Randy being escorted back stage and than escorted to special seats for the concert. I would guess that he was probably not up to singing before all those people. It was so nice they acknowledged him and dedicated TITTL to him.
UTW - Thanks for those Getty shots. Deacon looks so happy.
Shun, thanks so much for posting all this. What a fantastic concert to wake up to! I still have a lot to watch, but Deacon looks great and is so composed. I love the Dodgers shirt. He sounds great, too, and made me cry a little on Peaceful, Easy Feeling. What a lovely and heartfelt tribute to Glenn by his son and band mates.
Is it me, or is Joe singing harmony a lot more than he usually does?
I'm thinking that I'm definitely going to find a way to get tickets to the Classic East. I can't afford it, but I know I'll regret it if I don't.

I was right with the songs that was going to be played. Those Shoes, The Last Resort, and Seven Bridges Road were a surprised.
The total of songs from each of them.
Don - 8
Vince - 4
Deacon - 3
Joe - 4
Timothy - 2
But if you total up Glenn songs, it was 8 songs played. Almost the usual he sings in concert.

Wow, Timothy really seemed to be struggling vocally.
ETA: Don a little, too.

I don't know if it's true, but someone said Vince Gill is Deacon's Godfather. Deacon will have known many of the backing musicians and crew all his life, too.
My favorite picture of my two favorite guys. I never thought in a million years I would see my favorite country singer singing with my favorite group let along in the group with them.

Thanks Shun so much for all the pics, vids, and posts!!! OMG, I got teary eyed watching Deacon sing and dressed in the Dodgers jersey and the sunglasses on his head. He did his dad so proud. They all sounded great and really like they included not only Vince but Bob. And that's so great Randy was there.
