Don was amazing. So funny, articulate and intelligent. His speaking voice is like dark chocolate. He paid a great tribute to Dolly and I loved what he said about George Jones. I think he must have a photographic memory because he can quote verbatim. He's just fantastic. It was a great interview.

I know, DD. Don is a walking quotes man. I just can't believe he remembers the exact quote and who says it. And he didn't even paused to collect his thought on what the quote actually says. I'm going to look for the Last Child in The Woods. He said we should read it. I'll listen to you, Don. LOL

Poor Dolly. I couldn't tell in the video she was sick. You couldn't tell in her voice either. Heck. I like the video better than the single.

Well my son is in the process of driving to Austin for a race this weekend. He called me this morning to say they were driving through Nashville. I was shocked they weren't planning on stopping IN Nashville.
Well they decided to listen to me & stop to walk around. He said he was having a BLAST there.
Then he texted me to inform me that I will probably hate him but while walking around they saw a big group of people just standing around so he asked what was happening & was told Don Henley was making an appearance. He mentioned that he was going to see Don in November which didn't go over well with the girlfriend since she wasn't..ummm...invited along. Then he texted me he was in the same room as Don.
I haven't heard from him since so I don't know what all happened. His phone probably died.
