I couldn't remember when the date was as I was only 8 but this was the day I officially became a fan on my own, even though I grew up with their music, and now I know when it was. I loved this concert so much and my parents were so happy to see the Eagles back together again and my brother and I getting to watch too. We watched it all together as a family and brings back great memories.

It's hard to believe it is 22 years since the HFO special. It's almost as old as me! I was listening to a few songs from the Christchurch show from the HFO tour earlier without knowing it was the anniversary of the premiere.

Happy 22nd Birthday to Get Over It. I love that song and that was always my favorite from the Hell Freezes Over album. I wish they didn't stop playing it after the HFO tour ended.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet...it's been 23 years since the taping of HFO, today.

I usually bring the threads to the top, but I was so busy at work yesterday that I didn't get the chance.

So Happy 23rd Birthday to Hell Freezes Over taping. Thank goodness they agreed to give it another try and this also saved Joe's life. We don't know if Joe will still be alive today if the guys didn't decide to reunion.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

Shun - I could not agree more ! I remember when the announcement was made. I was shocked beyond belief and so excited. I had never thought it would take place.

I watched the dvd for Hell Freezes Over for the first time today and my eyes never left Glenn. It solidified him being my favorite for me. I just couldn't take my eyes off of him.
